Who didn’t dream of building their treehouse and staying there with friends as a child? Similar to this wish, the Little Lovely Log Cabin, which the Kreuzpointner family from Gasthaus Kiefering in Germany, have to stay overnight. Being very close to nature and still having a protective roof over your head, this is fulfilled when you stay in one of the two mini log houses. These small, cozy log houses stand on a hill in the middle of the beautiful natural landscape southeast of Altotting. You can enjoy an impressive 360° panoramic view in beautiful surroundings. This idyllic nature offers peace, which ensures relaxation and recreation and you can recharge your batteries for everyday life. Just the right thing for every nature lover and relaxation seeker.
The Kreuzpointner family loves log houses. The flair of this naturalness was not to be denied to the guests, and so the idea arose to offer log cabin buildings for overnight stays for guests in transit. In researching the right partner for this project, the Kreuzpointner family came across the company Perr Loghauser in Riedering. This family business was founded in 1950, now operates in the third generation, and specializes in the construction of log houses and wooden fences. The idea quickly became a concept and in spring 2018 it was implemented and two impressive small log houses were completed.
Both wooden huts are made of pure, natural softwood. They have a size of about 30 square meters per house and can accommodate 2 to a total of 4 people. The log houses are equipped with natural furniture made of solid wood. Seating is available for 2 people each and a comfortable double bed. Of course, the comfortable wooden huts are powered by electricity. However, the house guests enjoy bathrooms, as well as other sanitary facilities in the inn 100 meters away. Each log house has a small wooden balcony, which invites you to end the day with a beautiful sunset. The massive log walls radiate peace and warmth and give a feeling of security.
In a log cabin building, you sleep quieter, the heart rate goes down. You can hardly get new energy more relaxed. Stay in the middle of a dreamlike natural landscape. The log houses are in the middle of a dreamlike hiking and cycling landscape. Many cyclists, hikers, and pilgrims who are on their way to the pilgrimage site Altotting have already stayed in one of the two log houses made of round trunks and were thrilled. The overnight stay in the log cabins has meanwhile been certified by the ADFC (General German Bicycle Club). The cottages can be booked from Easter to October.
Log houses have been built in the Alpine region for generations, from local coniferous wood dried in the air for years. These log houses are stable, they defy wind and weather and often last for hundreds of years. The log home builders at Perr are convinced of this quality of the traditionally manufactured log houses and also a little pride in their competence.
